First 2 Hoplolatilus Oreni in captivity!

Posted in News on 9th Jul 2019

We are extremely proud to be have the very first 2 Hoplolatilus Oreni in capacity in the WORLD!! These new found fish were only first photographed in October 1018 in South Africa, and before that were thought to only come from deep water in the Red Sea.

They both arrived in ReefKeeper Windsor early April 2019 and are adapting beautifully to captivity. Both are active and great feeders, and unusually for tilefish don’t seem to have the jumping gene high up in they’re behaviour. Both are calm, well behaved fish.
